Although RealtimeCRM works well without any complex setup, there are ways to customise your experience to make things better. However, as your business grows you may want to make RealtimeCRM your own by adding custom features, integrations or other utilities.

This article outlines the steps that you need to take to customise RealtimeCRM for your own business.

Take a look at your Plan

The way that you go about customising RealtimeCRM depends on what Plan you are on. To find this out, you need to be an Administrator of the account. Click on your name at the top right of the screen and select Settings. From the sub-menu that appears select Billing. On the panel that is shown the Plan should be visible.

If you are the Professional or Enterprise plans then you can easily get RealtimeCRM customised for you - just follow the steps below.

Upgrading your plan

You can upgrade your plan from Standard at any time. Simply reach out to us so that we can prepare your secure, dedicated server. Your data and settings will all be transferred.

Help and Advice

You can always access help and advice on adding customisation to your RealtimeCRM instance by clicking on your name at the top right and then selecting Request Customisation from the menu.

Professional Plan

On the Professional plan our team of in-house engineers are ready to hear from you and get RealtimeCRM customised. To ensure the highest quality code and security we only use in-house engineers to undertake requested customisation.

  1. Use the Help and Advice Panel to either book an appointment with our friendly advisors or to send us an email.
  2. If speaking to us then we’ll do a requirements gathering exercise to understand what it is that you need RealtimeCRM to do.
  3. We’ll make a suggestion on the best way that RealtimeCRM can deliver your requirements. We’ll also confirm what other information we’ll need, if any.
  4. We’ll give you an estimate for cost and timeline for undertaking the work.
  5. Once you have agreed to the estimate and payment for any deposit has been made then we will start work.
  6. We will keep you informed of progress. For larger bits of work we will keep you informed weekly but most customisation requests are smaller and take less time that this.
  7. Once the work has been done it is tested by our in-house team and then made available to your RealtimeCRM instance.

Enterprise Plan

If you are the Enterprise plan then the steps may be similar to those above but the easiest way is to speak to your account manager who will work you through the entire process. Here’s what you can expect to happen:

  1. Reach out to your account manager, make an appointment to speak with us or drop us an email with your requirements;
  2. In co-ordination with your account manager we’ll do a requirements gathering exercise to understand what it is that you need RealtimeCRM to do.
  3. We’ll make a suggestion on the best way that RealtimeCRM can deliver your requirements. We’ll also confirm what other information we’ll need, if any.
  4. We’ll give you an estimate for cost and timeline for undertaking the work.
  5. Once you have agreed to the estimate then we will start work.
  6. We will keep you informed of progress. For larger bits of work we will keep you informed weekly but most customisation requests are smaller and take less time that this.
  7. Once the work has been done it is tested by our in-house team and then made available on the staging server for you to test, train and verify it meets your needs.
  8. In co-ordination with your account manager we’ll deploy the new changes to your live account.
