Edit a Contact

  • Click on the Contacts panel in the left hand side bar
  • Select the Contact you wish to edit from the list
  • Now click the  Edit button on the Contact box
  • A dialog box will open allowing you to change various details about the Contact
  • Once you are satisfied with the changes click the Update button

Deleting a Single Contact record

There are two ways to delete a single Contact record, the first is to delete it from within the Contact record itself that you wish to delete and the second is to select it from your entire list of Contact records, we will go through both methods.

From inside the Contact record

  • Click on the Contacts panel in the left hand side bar
  • Select the Contact you wish to delete
  • Once inside the Contact record click the Delete button in the Contact box
  • A warning box should appear if you wish to continue with the deletion then click the blue ‘OK’ button
  • The Contact should now be deleted

Note: You may not be able to delete a Contact if it has dependencies such as Opportunity records associated with it, you may need to remove those first before deleting the Company itself.

From the Contact records list

The advantage of doing the deletion from the Contact records list is that you can delete multiple records at the same time instead of just one record at a time.

  • Click on the Contacts panel in the left hand side bar
  • Select the check box next to the Contact record(s) you wish to delete
  • Now click on the Manage selected  button and from the drop-down list select ‘Delete selected records’
  • A warning box will appear asking you to confirm the deletion
  • The records you selected should now be permanently deleted
