How To Enable Pop-ups

Pop-up windows are usually an unwanted nuisance that we want to avoid. However, some web applications including RealtimeCRM use pop-ups from time to time in order to complete various functions. In this article, we will be showing you how to enable pop-ups in a variety of browsers to enable RealtimeCRM operate optimally.

Chrom

  • Click the Chrome menu button
  • A drop-down menu will appear, you need to click on Settings
  • Now you are on the Settings page, scroll down until you see ‘Privacy and security’
  • Beneath this heading, you will see a button named ‘Content settings’, click on that
  • A menu will then appear, scroll down and you will see the ‘Pop-ups’ subheading
  • You can now choose between blocking or allowing pop-ups
  • You can also make exceptions by clicking on the button named ‘Manage exceptions’. This allows you to input desired URLs, which you want pop-ups enabled on

Safari

  • In the menu bar  of your Mac or Macbook click ‘Safari’
  • This will open a drop-down menu, scroll down and click on ‘Preferences’
  • A window will then be opened, in the menu bar you will have headings such as ‘General’, ‘Passwords’, ‘Privacy’, ‘Security’ and others
  • Click on the ‘Security’ tab, under ‘Web content’ there are three check boxes, un-check the ‘Block pop-up windows’ box and you have now enabled pop-ups

Firefox

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu icon and choose ‘Options’
  • Select the ‘Content’ panel
  • There will be two check boxes, one of which is labelled ‘Pop-ups’
  • Un-checking that box will allow all pop-ups, but you can click the ‘Exceptions’ button to specify specific websites you wish to disable pop-up blocking on

Explorer

Note: For performance and security reasons, we recommend to avoid using Internet Explorer and prefer one of the other browers listed previously.

  • Select the ‘Tools’ button in the top right-hand corner of the window
  • A drop-down menu will appear, scroll down until you see ‘Internet options’ and click on that
  • Click on the ‘Privacy’ heading and you will be taken to the privacy settings page
  • Scroll down until you see the check box with the heading ‘Pop-up Blocker’
  • If you wish to allow all pop-ups then un-check the box
  • If you want to only allow certain sites to show pop-ups then don’t un-check the box. Instead, click on ‘Settings’ which is located next to it
  • You can then enter the URL(s) of the website(s) on which you wish to disable pop-up blocking
